Fees
What traders pay
| Chain | Venue fee | Creator fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solana | 0.95 % protocol | 0.30 % creator, fixed | 1.25 % |
| Robinhood Chain | 1 % curve fee | 1 % to 10 %, Pons creator tax | 2 % to 11 % |
| BNB Chain | 1 % curve fee | 1 % to 10 %, Flap tax, buy and sell | 2 % to 11 % |
The Pons creator tax and the Flap tax are set once at launch, to the same value. The pump.fun creator fee is fixed by pump.fun.
Where creator fees go
On pump.fun. The creator fee goes to the coin's sharing config. Pivot sets it, once, to the creator's wallet and Pivot, 50 % each. After update_fee_shares_v2 the shares are locked by pump.fun itself, and each shareholder claims from pump.fun with their own wallet. The keeper cannot take the creator's share.
On Pons. The creator tax goes to the coin's PivotVault. split() is public:
| Share | Goes to |
|---|---|
creatorShareBps of the fees, at most 50 % | the creator's EVM address, if one was given |
| the rest | the Pivot address |
On Flap. The tax goes to the coin's PivotFlapSplit, which is the tax beneficiary set at launch. harvest() is public: it asks Flap to dispatch the tax it holds, then splits the whole balance the same way as on Pons. Flap keeps its own share of the tax first, and the Flap commission, which Pivot receives as commission receiver, is paid to the Pivot address on top.
With no address given, all of it goes to Pivot.
How fees get collected
On Pons the curve accumulates fees. sweepFees pushes them to the Pons fee escrow and the vault claims them with claim. collect() and split() do both and anyone can call them.
On Flap the tax accumulates in the token's tax processor and is paid out in native BNB. It keeps flowing after the coin graduates, because the tax is then collected on the pool.
What a launch costs
| Amount | Paid by | |
|---|---|---|
| pump.fun creation | about 0.03 SOL | the keeper, repaid from the deposit |
| Pons launch fee | 0.0005 ETH | the keeper, repaid from the deposit at the current rate |
| Gas on Robinhood Chain | a few cents | the keeper, repaid from the deposit at the current rate |
| Gas on BNB Chain | budgeted at 0.002 BNB, a cent or two in practice | the keeper, repaid from the deposit at the current rate |
| Margin | 0.04 SOL | the creator's deposit |
| Dev buy, if any | the amount you type, per chain | you: the keeper fronts it, your deposit repays it |
| Token accounts for a pump.fun dev buy | 0.0046 SOL, partly given back | the creator's deposit |
Total: about 0.11 SOL, twelve dollars or so, with no dev buy. A dev buy is added on top and is entirely yours. Pivot charges no separate launch fee and takes nothing from a dev buy: the buy pays the usual fee of each curve, like any buy.
What Pivot earns
Only its share of the creator fees: half of the pump.fun creator fees, the part of the Pons creator tax and of the Flap tax that is not paid to the creator, and the Flap commission. $PIVOT buybacks are not built yet.
